I'm definitely feeling the effects from the lack of sunlight. I kind of saw the sun for 5 minutes on Saturday, but I can't remember when I saw it before that. Living primarily underground makes it hard enough to see the sky, but seeing a constant grey sky wears you down. We have roughly 10.5 hours of daylight now, we lose more and more everyday, and even with that it's not like its even that bright outside. I'm trying to stay active outdoors, but my homework keeps bringing me inside and it is becoming harder and harder to wake up to darkness in the morning. Now is the time that I'd like to begin hibernating, but the ODS program constantly keeps you going, whether you like it or not. There is a happy lamp in the Lodge that I can check out, I didn't have time to use it tonight but I'll try to use it tomorrow. I'm hoping I will hear some replies from the people I've written to soon, I could really use some sunshine.
Again, thank you Aunt Barbara and Uncle Joe for the package, I can't wait to try the Kashi bars! And the magazine has wonderful photos of Acadia, hopefully I'll have some time this Summer and could possibly go camping there for a weekend. That is if the government decides to start working again.
I skyped Doug last night and Kristina tonight, I really couldn't have asked for better friends.. :)
Have a wonderful week everyone, I will try my best to write again before I leave for this weekend!
